This Shantung range from Wedding Waistcoat consists of Pure Silk and durable polyester. There are also matching cravats or scrunchies, as they are sometimes known, pocket hankies and, if you don't want a cravat, there is a full range of matching neckties. These matching accessories are all made in the same Shantung finish fabric. Don't forget we have sets for the Page Boy also.
But first. What is Shantung Fabric? Shantung fabric is a slub fabric with a soft luxrious appearance. Our Pure Silk Shantung Wedding Waistcoat is a finer denier than the polyester Shantung Wedding Waistcoat and as a result are a lighter to wear garment. There are 12 different colours in the Silk range with hues from Black through to White, Gold, Pink, Red and Silver are very popular choices with past Wedding Waistcoat customers. The Polyester Shantung Wedding Waistcoat range has an even larger choice with 19 different colour options. Fashionable colours such as Sage, Straw, Lilac, Sky Blue, Ivory and Bottle Green are available.
Each Silk Waistcoat is fully lined and has an adjustable waistband at the rear to ensure a perfect fit. These waistcoats are made to a generous fit and hang loose around the waist – ideal comfort when undergoing all those ‘hot’ wedding day activities, especially at the reception. There are six cloth covered buttons and two front pockets. The satin finish rear panel is in a contrasting colour to give the Shantung wedding waistcoat a luxurious feel.
The ordinary (polyester) waistcoats are no less appointed and have the same attributes as the Silk version. Each Shantung coat is available in men’s sizes ranging from Small through to the extra large 3 and 4 XL sizes. The Page Boy Shantung Wedding Waistcoats share the same colours and attributes as the men’s and are available in Page Boy sizes small, Medium and Large.
