Our Silk Waistcoat range consists of Pure Silk Shantung Waistcoats with matching silk cravats or scrunchies, as they are sometimes known. There are also pure silk pocket hankies and, if you don't want a cravat, there is a full range of matching silk neckties. These matching accessories are all made in the same Silk Shantung finish fabric. Don't forget we have sets for the Page Boy also.

Our Pure Silk Waistcoats in the shantung weave are a fine denier and as a result are a lighter-to-wear garment. There are 12 different colours in the Silk Waistcoat range with hues in French Navy, Gold, Silver and Pink in the range. Popular choices are the White and Ecru Silk Waistcoat, a real favourite with Wedding Waistcoat customers. Each Silk Waistcoat is fully lined and has an adjustable waistband at the rear to ensure a perfect fit. These silk waistcoats are made to a generous fit and hang loose around the waist – ideal comfort when undergoing all those ‘hot’ wedding day activities, especially at the reception. There are six cloth covered buttons and two front pockets. The satin finish rear panel is in a contrasting colour to give the Silk Waistcoat a luxurious feel.

Each Silk Waistcoat is available in men’s sizes ranging from Small through to the extra large 3 and 4 XL sizes. The Page Boy Shantung Waistcoats share the same colours and attributes as the men’s and are available in Page Boy sizes small, Medium and Large.

Silk is a natural protein fibre, some forms of which can be woven into textiles. The best-known type of silk is obtained from cocoons made by the larvae of the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori reared in captivity. The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fibre which allows silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles thus producing different colours.
